Why MOV files are hard to send
MOV is Apple’s QuickTime container. iPhones record it by default, often as HEVC (H.265) at high bitrates — a one-minute 4K clip can easily pass 200 MB. Many apps and chat tools still prefer MP4/H.264, so a MOV may fail to upload, show as a blank attachment, or arrive as a cloud link instead of a playable video. Compressing MOV to a smaller MP4 solves both problems at once: a file under the platform limit, in a format almost everything can play.
