Shrink a WAV without changing the format
WAV files store raw PCM audio, so a few minutes of speech or music can reach hundreds of megabytes. This tool re-encodes the recording to a smaller WAV with a light, balanced or strong compression level. The download stays a .wav file. Compression lowers sample rate and bit depth, so high frequencies and fine detail can drop — keep the original and listen before you replace anything. When the goal is simply “small enough to send”, converting to MP3 is often the better trade.
